The Principal
“The focal point of the training of pastors and church leaders is to develop a solid biblical worldview. Like any other cultures with their own worldviews that influence the church, the Eastern Cape church is much into syncretism that is a result of the cultural worldview. The African Indigenous churches and some mainline churches feel the spirits of their dead relatives need respect and they have an influence in their lives. They do this innocently, with some bishops pointing out that, Black people worship God through the African Tradition thereby elevating the spirits of the dead. This worldview affects the authority of the Word, church practice, relationships in the church and self-identity of Christians. Thus, the church’s position is being compromised because of the cultural worldview. Nevertheless, I am grateful to God that through the training offered at Dumisani, graduates are testifying how their worldviews are transformed during the three years of training.”

- Dumisani's student body includes trainee pastors from over 15 denominations.
- Among their alumni and current students, there are notable figures such as Archbishops from African Independent Churches, Bishops with the United Methodist, and Superintendents with the King Williams Town Methodist Church, along with members from the Free Church of Southern Africa.
- The institute has partnerships with various churches in the Eastern Cape, which also assist in managing their students' workplace activities. Additionally, pastors from other churches contribute to teaching at Dumisani
- Furthermore, Dumisani Theological Institute collaborates with institutions like Nehemiah Bible Institute, Johannesburg Bible College, George Whitefield College, South African Theological Seminary, and North-West University.
